The purpose of the Silver City Quilt Guild (SCQG) is to gather together all interested quilters to explore the world of quilting; to preserve and continue the traditions, culture and history of quilting; to sponsor and support quilting activities; to provide a meeting place for beginners as well as the experienced to exchange ideas, designs, techniques and workmanship.
We come together to share the art of quilting, make friends, and give back to the community.
Show & Tell, Door Prizes, Raffles, and Fat Quarter Swaps.
Our monthly Guild meetings are planned with different speakers, teachers and Guild members showing & sharing their quilting talents. There is always something new to learn in the world of Quilting!!
Quilt Show - Our next quilt show is in September 2013. We are all very pleased with the huge success of our quilt show in 2011!
Sit N Sew - the SCQG members meet at the Myrick's Methodist Church once a month to work on quilts and get to know other members.
Charity Quilts - our guild makes and donates quilts throughout the year to various charitable organizations.
